ED Rush and Optical feat. MC Ryme Time

Ben Settle, or better known as Ed Rush, is one of the current leaders of the new school drum and bass. One of the originators to bring back the dark sounds of drum and bass and push it to new levels, Ed Rush continues to make waves with each new release. The artist managed to develop his unique and recognizable Ed Rush style - gangsta attitude, and crunchy basslines. Ed Rush soon found himself on the cusp of prominence, as his renowned track "Killimanjaro" on the Prototype label helped to define the genres' direction towards techstep, a two-step style of drum and bass.

The greatest collaboration was ahead of him though, when he teamed up with OPTICAL. In 1997, they created their own label, Virus, and their first release was "Medicine/Punchbag", two tracks marked with technically precise drum programming along with a distorted, low, and crunchy bass line. Their eventual EP, "Wormhole" was released to critical and underground success. In 2001, Ed Rush and Optical released another genre-defining EP, the Creeps, which helped them to win Knowledge drum and bass award for producers of the year. The next year Pacman is released - a legendary track with sounds from the original videogame.

Their innovative style is distinct in the followers The Original Doctor Shade (2003), Out of the Box (2004) и Chameleon (2006). In the meantime, 12" production and world tour offers are overflowing.

In Sofia the set will be featured by the veteran behind the mic - MC Ryme Time. He starts his career  not with one but with three solo 12" releases  as early as 1998 for the label Saigon, which at that time releases Specila K and Dom&Roland production. Curious as it may seem, ten years later Ryme Time keps on rocking the dancefloor with quality projects. He has a dosier of a pile of singles, a double album, as well as hundreds of live performances and collaborations with world-renowned artists.
